Classic Leather Balancer
The Classic Leather Balancer is a hand crafted leather orthosis that is prescribed when rearfoot control is needed. The original Balancer, designed in the 1930's, redefined the potential of custom orthotics, and is still one of the most frequently prescribed orthosis in the medical community. The orthosis features a deep heel cup to control the rearfoot and minimize medial-lateral instability. Today, thanks to the variety of modifications offered by Levy & Rappel®, the Balancer can be worn for many types of foot conditions

FOAMART® Impression Systems
After careful examination of the foot, mark all areas that will require modifications with an indelible pencil. This will be transferred to the FOAMART® impression to provide Levy & Rappel® with more information. In addition, you may draw a line bisecting the calcaneus so that we will have a reference line called 'Neutral'.
