Footcare Infomation

Diabetes can increase the risk of serious foot infection in two ways. First, it can decrease feeling in the feet, so that cuts and scrapes and even burns can go unnoticed and become serious. Second, it can affect circulation to the feet and reduce the body's ability to resist infection and heal wounds.

The good news is that the risk of serious infection can be reduced with a little extra effort. Many find it easier to remember their foot care if they do it at the same time every day, for example, in the morning after you brush your teeth, or after your evening meal. Find an approach that works for you and stick with it. The important part is to make this effort part of your routine each and every day

FOAMART® Impression Systems

After careful examination of the foot, mark all areas that will require modifications with an indelible pencil. This will be transferred to the FOAMART® impression to provide Levy & Rappel® with more information. In addition, you may draw a line bisecting the calcaneus so that we will have a reference line called 'Neutral'.
